Continuing Education, May and June 2021
We are pleased to offer affordable opportunities for health professionals. OUR MAY 21-23, 2021 (Ypsilanti/Detroit MI and virtual simulcast) AND JUNE 25-27. 2021 (Raleigh NC and virtual simulcast) CONFERENCES ARE OFFERING IDENTICAL CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS. Except for ABLM in-person credits which are specific to the in-person setting, everything on this page applies to EITHER in-person or virtual registration for EITHER 2021 conference. Below are the details of the continuing education credits for the "full" conference. Any reference to 16 credits or hours would be replaced by 12, in the case of Saturday-Sunday-only registration, and partial attendance below what is registered for would result in pro-rating of credits.
CME: 16 AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credits™
This activity is designated for a maximum of 16 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ by St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor. St. Joseph Mercy Health System is accredited by the Michigan State Medical Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians, and is accredited at ACCME's highest level, Accreditation with Commendation. Credits are awarded to physicians, and recognizable (subject to their own credentialing requirements) for physician assistants, nurse practitioners and certified nurse midwives. Some state boards recognize these credits for pharmacists, optometrists or certified registered nurse anesthetists. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
16 Credit Hour Certificate of Attendance
St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor also can provide a comparable Certificate of Attendance, reflecting a maximum of 16 credits (16 contact hours), to some participants in this activity from professions such as social work for which the CME / CPEU / CNE credits described on this page may not apply directly.
CNE: pending Continuing Nursing Education contact hours
CNE: This activity has been submitted to the Virginia Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours. The Virginia Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
CPEU: 16.25 to 16.5 CPEUs (Dietetics)
CPEU: Each 2021 P-POD Conference (in-person or virtual) has been approved by the Commission on Dietetic Registration for awarding 16.25 to 16.5 CPEU credits for full participation or 12 CPEU credits for Saturday-Sunday participation. CPEUs apply to Registered Dietitians and Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDs, RDNs), and Dietetic Technicians, Registered, and Nutrition and Dietetics Technicians, Registered (DTRs, NDTRs).
ABLM: 16 In-person CME in Lifestyle Medicine
ABLM CME 16 In-person Credits in Lifestyle Medicine: The American Board of Lifestyle Medicine approves every annual in-person P-POD Conference as an in-person-learning CME provider. The 16 AMA PRA Category 1™ CME credits for full participation in either in-person 2021 P-POD conference are applicable for candidates for the 2021 American Board of Lifestyle Medicine certifying examination (credentialing for Diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine or Diplomate of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine). For either in-person conference, 12 such credits will be recognized for Saturday-Sunday participation, also meeting ABLM's 10-hour requirement.
