falling and staying asleep without medication or supplements, relying on simple smart science-backed (and sustainable) strategies to improve the quality of sleep and to optimize its health-promoting effects.

Dr. Jonelis is a Clinical Practice Committee Member and former Insomnia Care Pathways Task Force member at the Society of Behavioral Sleep Medicine, and a longtime member of the Payer Policy Review Committee of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, where she has evaluated insurance reimbursement practices in the area of insomnia and advocated for fair reimbursement policies.  She is a sleep-related research consultant to Google, and independent consultant and writer through FitPros and Medium, and has provided her expertise to a number of entities exploring sleep issues.  She lectures frequently on sleep's importance and on non-pharmacologic strategies for enhancing sleep, to physicians, school policy-makers, Intensive Care Unit personnel, community groups, high school and elementary school students, and podcast listeners.
