Christina Wells, MD MPH MBA FAAFP DipABLM earned her Doctorate in Medicine at University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC) College of Medicine following undergraduate training in Biochemistry at the University of Missouri Columbia, and went on to complete the Hinsdale Family Medicine Residency and a later Midwest Fellowship for Primary Care Champions at UIC Department of Family and Community.  She has also received Masters degrees from Andrews University, Berrien Springs MI in Public Health, with a Nutrition and Wellness specialization focused on plant-based nutrition and chronic diseases, and in Business Administration, with a Healthcare Management specialization.

Dr. Wells, a board certified Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine physician, has long provided care to diverse populations, and shown strong dedication to empowering individuals in underserved communities via health education and access to essential services.  She practices at UI Health Mile Square Health Center in Chicago, and serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Family Medicine in the Department of Family Medicine at University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine.  She has been honored as a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and is a Board of Directors member and Lifestyle Medicine Member Interest Group leader at the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Wells is a member of the Family Medicine Midwest Diversity Task Force, and of the Diversity in Health Care Profession Task Force for the Illinois Department of Public Health.  She has long served as a faculty preceptor, mentor and tutor in a wide variety of healthcare education settings and locations.  She also earned a Stanford Nutrition Science certificate, and a Certificate in Plant-based Nutrition from T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and eCornell.
