Dr. Anthony Lim is a board-certified family physician, and completed his M.D. degree while receiving honors at Boston University School of Medicine.  He serves as Medical Director for The McDougall Program, Staff Physician for True North Health Center, and a Locum Tenens Physician for Permanente Medical Group.  He has for years lectured and authored articles regarding health promotion subjects and plant-based diets.  He is a firm believer in the power of a healthy, balanced lifestyle to both prevent and treat chronic illness.  He has a special interest in whole food, plant-based nutrition and enjoys working closely with patients to help them adopt healthier habits.

Dr. Lim grew up in sunny San Diego. Upon completing his undergraduate studies at Stanford, he went on an extended “journey” that included studying Mandarin and traveling in China for one year, working as a management consultant, teaching 5th through 8th grade math as an Americorps volunteer, and obtaining his law degree and subsequently passing the California Bar Exam.  After much soul searching, he realized his true calling lay in medicine, and is thankful to be practicing Family Medicine, a specialty that allows him to care for his patients in a holistic manner with a focus on preventive health.

Dr. Lim is happily married to his college sweetheart, and together they have a son and daughter who bring them endless joy and laughter.  Outside interests of his include hiking, biking, playing tennis, cooking healthy meals, learning guitar, and continually growing in his religious faith.
