Annamarie Rodriguez, RDN LD FAND presents as a member of the Speakers Bureau of the Vegetarian Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Annamarie Rodriguez, RDN LD FAND has had a distinguished career spanning and blending dietetics and clinical practice in the renal disease area.  She is the former national Chair of the  Renal Dietitians Dietetic Practice Group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the former Chair for 5 years of the Council on Renal Nutrition of Wisconsin.  She is an authoritative and passionate advocate for use of optimized lifestyle eating choices in support of the prevention of, or improved outcomes for, chronic kidney disease.  She also has built expertise regarding medically dictated interventions in patients facing dialysis, thus also holds a position as Renal Clinical Retention Specialist for Pentec Health in Wisconsin.  She is the author of Ketoanalogue Review: New Update on an Old Therapy, Journal of Renal Nutrition, 2021, and a chapter co-author of Intradialytic Parenteral Nutrition and Intraperitoneal Nutrition, in the Handbook of Dialysis Therapy, 6th Edition, being released August 2022.


Annamarie has been honored as a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and has for many years served the Vegetarian Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group (VNDPG) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in a variety of ways, including now as its Chair.  She is the longtime VNDPG State Coordinator for both Wisconsin and Michigan and is the former VNDPG Speakers Bureau Chair.  We are honored that she is a member of our Plant-based Prevention Of Disease, Inc. nonprofit board of directors.  She tries to implement environmental consciousness in her day-to-day life, and serves as a Master Gardener Volunteer for SouthEast Wisconsin Extension at the University of Wisconsin
