Amber Orman, MD DipABLM earned her Doctorate in Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine, and completed residencies in Transitional Medicine at St. Vincent Hospital and in Radiation Oncology at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She is board certified in Radiation Oncology and Lifestyle Medicine, and is a Faculty Member at Radiation Oncology Specialists, AdventHealth Medical Group (Florida). She also serves as Chief Wellness Officer at AdventHealth, which includes over 1200 providers and where she also was co-founder of AdventHealth HEAL, the Healthy Eating Active Lifestyle Program. She is also Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at University of Central Florida College of Medicine, and previously served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Oncologic Sciences at the University of South Florida's Morsani College of Medicine.
Dr. Orman's clinical focus is breast cancer, with an emphasis on integrative therapies and holistic care encompassing both mind and body, and she coaches patients on nutrition and lifestyle changes that may lead toward greater healing and better overall health. She is the principal author of "Breast Cancer: A Lifestyle Medicine Approach" in the American Journal of Lifestyle Medicine, 2020, and is author or co-author of numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, and of four textbook chapters. Her primary research interests include the roles of lifestyle, and of the gut microbiome, in cancer prevention and treatment. She is a nonprofit board member of Plant-based Prevention Of Disease, Inc. and of the Florida organization Plant-Based Lifestyle Movement.
